It took a long time....he is trained to look at my face when I hold food....attention training didn’t come in handy! But, a few treats and a Santa hat was a pleasure & I couldn’t keep him from sitting behind his favorite book
And Allison- he earned his Best Bird Dog achievement this season- he has really done so well in actual field work- he is agile, always has energy & with a trimmed coat, he comes home clean without much grooming. And he dives into heavy cover & briars- we appreciate his conformation more & more- he’s so sturdy & sound!
He has been outstanding in the field this season, & in spite of the few birds that have been stocked in nj....he keeps getting better! He is a pleasure to be with and we will extend the season with a few trips to a local preserve starting January thru March....and we’re keeping up our agility skills with SG at Princeton!
